How does this even happen? Is this because people are not living within their means? Or is it because of some other reason? Do you they not have enough financial planners up there? Incredible survey.

I am here wondering some information about personal financial planning. What is the formula many financial planners use to determine how much an individual will need in retirement?

That is fascinating. I wonder what the specifics of the study were, and whether it's due to a poor economy or to poor debt management. I agree with Jen McCleve; it seems like they might benefit from some good financial planners.

I am not from the said country but I find this very alarming. I can't help but wonder what is happening to this world. I've been reading a lot of articles on finance and it's really depressing to discover the facts behind the figures.
